TUESDAY 29 AUGUST FAMILY FUN DAY

10.00 am – 1pm Ryde Library

Come along to Ryde Junior Library and make a Crown to take home or to wear in the Children’s Carnival processionon Wednesday afternoon.

The Mayor of Ryde will be presenting the key to the town to Ryde’s Carnival Queens at 10 am.

 

All day – Pirates day at the Captains Table, Canoe Lake – special pirate’s menu, bouncy castle and face painting for all would be pirates.

 

WEDNESDAY 30 AUGUST CHILDRENS CARNIVAL DAY

10.30 – 12.30pm Carnival Workshop for Families to make carnival entries with their children at Aspire in Dover Street. Malarky Arts Giant Heron puppet will return to accompany the children’s entries in the Carnival which sets off at 3pm

 

 

1.30 – 2.30 pm The Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers will be performing in Minghella Square to raise funds for Combat Stress before leading the Children’s Carnival procession at 3pm.

THURSDAY 31ST AUGUST MAIN CARNIVAL

 

1pm – 3pm Bubbles on the Beach – Learn how to make GIANT BUBBLES on the beach with the volunteers of Aspire – sands next to Big Kahuna.

 

7PM MAIN CARNIVAL PROCESSION

FRIDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER

11 am join in our Treasure Hunt along and around Ryde’s beaches, starting outside Superbowl Pavillion, Esplanade.

 

1pm Garden in a Wheelbarrow Competition

Bring your gardens to Minghella Square and meet at 1pm before parading to St Thomas Church for judging< Gardens will be on public display at St Thomas Church from 1.30 (approx) til 4pm. Prizes of Busy Bee vouchers: 1st – £100; 2nd – £50; 3rd – £25.
